T.A.S.K Teaching And Saving Kids At risk youth ministry
Mission Create and maintain a community faith based program consisting of clergy, professionals, and former gang members working together to teach, save and mentor at-risk youth.
T.A.S.K. Members, partners, and affiliates work together to interface with local schools, Universities, Juvenile Centers, Department of Corrections, local jails, families, and other community service organizations to provide adequate programs and spiritual support to reduce violence, substance abuse, and recidivism while maintaining peace and unity in our at risk and under privileged communities. Our headquarters is located at 7401 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141. Our focus is Teaching and Saving Kids from the turmoil and tragedies of violence, incarceration, substance abuse, and gang involvement. We utilize the knowledge, testimonies, and experience of inactive gang members combined with other community resources to interact with public schools, Universities, Department of Corrections, Juvenile Centers, jails, local street gangs, private homes and churches to help teach and save at risk youth.
T.A.S.K. Intervention Boards (TIB) inside prison and jails are designed to create working relationships and better communication between inmates and various groups to provide effective conflict resolution, violence control, and pre and post release rehabilitation to provide more effective re-entry support before and after release. Our goal is to establish good relationships prior to release. TIB is a behavior modification program designed to help long and short term inmates. We offer transitional housing, life skills, resident & out-patient substance abuse programs, at-risk youth mentoring, job placement assistance, gang intervention and prevention, T.A.S.K. support group meeting, pastoral care and counseling, Christian Religious services, and many other collaborated resources.
T.A.S.K. uses the testimonies and influence of inactive gang members to help mentor and rehabilitate at risk youth, families and communities. Our prevention and intervention programs are designed to counteract the vicious cycle of recidivism, violence, gang involvement, drug dealing, substance abuse, and bullying.
